A Gold Coast rapper has been arrested on a Surfers Paradise beach after allegedly running in the surf to avoid paying a restaurant bill. Video obtained 9NEWS showed officers tackling Terry Peck, who performs as 2pec, to the sand on Main Beach yesterday afternoon. Terry Peck, 33, allegedly ate a substantial amount of seafood and before fleeing a Gold Coast restaurant. (AAP)Staff chased the 33-year-old, who then entered the surf at Main Beach, before police were called and towed out to the man on the back of lifeguards' jet-skis. Police urged the accused to head back to shore independently, but were allegedly forced to enter the water and apprehend him.

The man, aged in his mid-30s, remained in custody after being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for medical attention, while two police officers were treated for minor injuries.
